The second is different from the first in that it includes lunch and a ticket for the National Park Pamukkale. Select your preferred choice and book your seats. We’ll see you soon in enchanted Pamukkale.

One of the UNESCO World Heritage sites is Pamukkale, which has white travertines and historic towns. Only Yellowstone National Park in the United States of America is comparable to these “Cotton Castles,” located in the Denizli area of Turkey and around 300 kilometers from Antalya (there, the rock formations are yellow and not white). Calcified water gushing from the ancient towns of Hierapolis and Necropolis has been and is still forming the rocks.

When you approach from a distance, the water looks to be blue. Pamukkale, meaning “cotton castles” in Turkish, is what you see when you first arrive there. You can see them for kilometers before you ever get there. You might be excused for mistaking them for snow, but when you go closer and step on them, you’ll see that they’re non-slippery rocks. They are easy to walk on; they are only slippery if green algae in them or around the lakes.

Travelers have been coming to Pamukkale for hundreds, even thousands of years, to drink the waters since it is thought they have therapeutic abilities. Furthermore, the ancient towns of Hierapolis and Necropolis, concealed at the top of the travertines, are just a prologue to these incredible rock structures.

Description of Pamukkale Tour from Antalya

In the early morning, a comfortable air-conditioned bus will pick you up from your hotel or apartment in Antalya and take you the 250 kilometers to the province of Denizli, where the Pamukkale travertines are located.     You will receive a brief history lesson on the travertines upon arrival at Pamukkale from your English-speaking Tour Guide, who will be with you the entire day. After that, you will have time to explore this incredible scenery and take in the expansive views of the far-off countryside.

As you gently make your way up to the ridge that hides the ancient city of Hierapolis, you may swim in the rock pools and take in the scenery. As some of the rock ponds are small, non-slippery, and warm, Mother Nature’s own paddling pools, physically capable younger children love this experience! The climb may be done at any speed and is acceptable for most physically fit persons.

Hierapolis Ancient City

In your spare time, you may explore the city’s historic alleys after ascending the travertines and discovering Hierapolis, a wonder with its historic Roman baths and museums. You will also get the chance to swim in Cleopatra’s Pool.

You may take a soak in the 30-degree celsius waters that Queen Cleopatra once frequented as the spa waters gurgle up from the undersea source, which is safely enclosed. Who could resist the temptation to swim in the supposedly curative waters of such a naturally beautiful region with its fallen columns immersed in the sea?

You can further rehydrate or take a break in the garden area of this magnificent location at the contemporary Reception Center at the entrance to Hierapolis and Necropolis. In addition to this region’s stunning flora and wildlife, there are restrooms, washrooms, and several gift stores for you to browse.

You will meet your guide at the predetermined location and start your journey back to Antalya once you have satisfied your sense of history and wonder. A long day, but undoubtedly worthwhile for the opportunity to visit this magnificent region and its historical sites.

This was a wonderfully lovely tour where we had plenty of free time at Hierapolis to visit the Pamukkale pools, swim in the Cleopatra Pool, and explore the ruins. Ali, our tour guide, was outstanding; he provided a wealth of knowledge and was incredibly amiable. I heartily encourage everyone who does this excursion.

Anybody visiting Turkey should make sure to visit Pamukkale. Beautiful top views and refreshing water. It’s a shame that there wasn’t enough time to explore the area and unwind in the waters. Although the trip there is difficult, once you arrive, all of the suffering will be forgotten. What a spot to remember of Turkey.
