Your underwater adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation, whisking you away in a comfortable vehicle to the boat’s launch point. Upon arrival, a team of professional scuba instructors will welcome you. They’ll provide an in-depth orientation session that covers all you need to know for your dive: technicalities, safety protocols, equipment handling, and how to communicate beneath the waves.
Tailored for both beginners and those with a bit more experience, this scuba diving experience includes a scenic boat ride and two dives. To ensure a comfortable and safe experience for everyone, each dive is kept to a concise 25 minutes. This duration is perfect for newcomers to get acquainted with the underwater world without feeling rushed. The dive spots are chosen by the captain on the day of the tour, guaranteeing two unique and breathtaking underwater adventures. This approach keeps the experience fresh and exciting, with the promise of exceptional sights beneath the surface.
Your Side Diving adventure kicks off the moment we pick you up from your hotel. Our dive team will whisk you away to the dock, where you’ll meet your scuba diving instructors and get ready for the day ahead.
Once at the port, you’ll board a well-equipped diving vessel, poised for your Side Diving Adventure. This spacious boat features all the comforts you need for a pleasant journey, including restrooms, shower facilities, and sunbeds for basking in the sunshine. For your enjoyment, a bar serving coffee and traditional Turkish tea is also onboard.
Before we dive into the waters, a comprehensive briefing will take place on the boat. Our professional dive instructors will go over essential technical and safety information, demonstrating how to use your diving gear and conduct breathing tests with the specialized oxygen tanks. We’ll also cover underwater communication through sign language. It’s the perfect time for first-time divers to ask questions and ensure you’re fully prepared for what’s to come.
The voyage to the first dive site in the Side region starts as we set sail. The chosen location boasts warm, clear waters with excellent visibility, promising an unforgettable scuba diving experience. The instructors select the dive spots on the day, ensuring the best conditions for our adventure.
After your initial dive, we’ll take a break for lunch on the boat. This meal is designed to refuel you for the afternoon’s activities, offering healthy choices along with Turkish coffee and tea to enjoy.
Once you’ve had time to relax and enjoy your lunch, we’ll head to a new location for the day’s second dive. This is another opportunity to follow the dive professionals’ guidance closely, experience a new underwater environment, and compare it with your first dive.
A highlight of diving in Side is the Underwater Museum, inaugurated in 2015. It consists of five sections: ‘Flower Garden’, ‘War of Independence’, ‘Temple of Poseidon’, ‘Caravan of Camels’, and ‘Whirling Dervish’, showcasing 110 statues ranging in height from 1 to 6 meters and weighing up to 5 tonnes. Placed over three months by a team of 20 using cranes, boats, and diver expertise, it offers a unique underwater experience.
Throughout your underwater adventure, a diving photographer will capture moments in photographs and videos. You’ll have the opportunity to view and purchase these memories once back at the harbor, creating lasting mementos of your experience.
As your Side Diving adventure comes to an end, we’ll transport you back to your hotel. You’ll likely return feeling a combination of exhilaration and relaxation, having explored the wonders of the underwater world in Side.
These guys are fantastic for first-timers; they are extremely patient, and when I had a few issues regulating under water, they immediately calmed me down and solved the problem. Persuaded me to continue, and I’m so glad that I did.
